Professional experience
Maura Magioncalda is recognized as one of Italy’s leading lawyers in the banking & finance and debt restructuring fields , thanks to the advice she has provided on numerous major transactions over the last 20 years.
She has gained extensive experience in advising financial institutions, funds (both private equity and private debt) and corporate clients on a wide range of financial transactions, both domestic and cross-border, including leveraged finance, corporate lending and real estate financing.
Furthe she is a major expert in debt restructuring and special situations, with particular focus on transactions aimed at preserving the company’s going concern (reorganisation and restructuring agreements, composition with creditors, distressed M&A and sale of bank loans), as well as being very active in any type of distress financing.
